MSc Orientation Program Successfully Conducted at Nepal Engineering College – Center for Postgraduate Studies

Nepal Engineering College – Center for Postgraduate Studies (nec CPS) successfully organized the MSc Orientation Program, welcoming a new cohort of postgraduate students for the upcoming academic session. The event was chaired by the Director of nec CPS and attended by distinguished faculty members and administrative officials.
Among the notable participants were Vice Principal, Assoc. Prof. Mohan Dhoj KC; Administration Head, Ms. Sheeema Sharma; Teacher Representative, Prof. Sabitri Tripathi; Finance Head, Ms. Shaisla Joshi; Program Coordinator of TEAM, Asst. Prof. Gopal Gautam; and Research Coordinator, Asst. Prof. Narayan Prasad Koju, along with other faculty members and staff.
The program commenced with a warm welcome address, followed by an overview of the academic structure, institutional policies, research opportunities, and student support services by the Director. Speakers emphasized the importance of academic excellence, research integrity, and active engagement in scholarly activities.
The Director highlighted the college’s commitment to fostering a dynamic learning environment and encouraged students to make the most of the resources and mentorship available at nec-CPS. In the event, two graduates (class of 2025) - Mr Anup Nepal and Ms. Priyanka Kunwar from TEAM AND iWRM programs respectively, were awarded with the best thesis. The best thesis award is commenced from this year, which will motivate the students to conduct an impactful research during masters program.
The orientation concluded with an interactive session, allowing students to engage with faculty and clarify their queries. The event marked the beginning of a promising academic journey for the newly enrolled MSc students at nec CPS.
