SAWA workshop on "Advancing IWRM research in South Asia with Gender Sensitive Interdisciplinary Research Tools"

Management (iWRM) students from Nepal Engineering College participated in a 10
days SAWA workshop on "Advancing IWRM research in South Asia with Gender
Sensitive Interdisciplinary Research Tools". The event is being hosted by
the Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture at Kandy, Sri Lanka from January 29
to February 6, 2025. The second cohort of the students awarded IDRC SAWA
fellowships from three partner institutions namely Nepal Engineering College,
Institute of Water and Flood Management (IWFM) of Bangladesh University of
Engineering and Technology (BUET) and Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture
(PGIA) of University of Peradeniya (UOP) participated in the workshop. The
workshop included an in-house lecture series on interdisciplinary research
followed by three days of field work on the Gurugaloye Irrigation Scheme. In
the field work, the students implemented the in-house learning for the data
collection later followed by analysis and presentation to the panel of experts.
