The main objective of this study is, aimed to identify the present status of safety practices, evaluate the major barriers to implement safety practices, and suggest possible remedial measures to reduce barriers in these projects. In pursuing the objective, primary data were collected by field observation, questionnaire survey and KII. Secondary data were collected from articles, journals, reports and the internet. The data collected was then analyzed using MS Excel, the Bloom cutoff, and SPSS (PCA). KII was carried out to offer potential remedies for lowering barriers in the construction of public-school buildings. Potential respondents of the eleven public school building projects that were chosen were given the checklist and questionnaire to identify the current state of safety practices and barriers to implementing safety practices in separate sections.
